About Us

This is the blog for the Niamakoro Education Center project. Funded by the Davis Projects for Peace, extremely generous gifts from family, and our own savings, we are headed to Bamako, Mali to work on a project intended to supplement the educational resources available in the Niamakoro neighborhood. This project is a collaboration between the main authors of this blog, Neal Pisenti and Sarah Smilkstein, and Niamakoro residents who will hopefully also write posts in the future.
